We have to admit that we are somewhat impatient by nature, and we absolutely hate photo editing of any sort. It just seems so tedious to us, even when it comes to basic tasks like resizing images. For that reason, we love Prish Image Resizer. Now, instead of opening a separate program, loading our image, and tinkering with the dimensions, we can resize images with a couple of mouse clicks.
The program doesn't have an interface per se; instead, it appears in the context menu whenever you right-click on an image in Windows Explorer. It adds two options to this menu: Copy Picture and Prish Resizer. Choosing the first option copies the image to the clipboard, either at its original size or resized to 1024, 800, 640, or 320 pixels horizontally. The second option creates a new image, resized to any of the previously mentioned sizes or to a custom size. This option offers several types of customization; you can choose whether to overwrite the original file, save the new file in another location, or create a new file name by adding specified text to the original file name. The program also enables you to adjust JPEG quality. The program loses points for not having a Help file, but it's pretty easy to use, even for people who aren't very knowledgeable about image editing. Overall, we like Prish Image Resizer a lot; we were afraid it would be just another resizer, but it integrates resizing into Explorer in a way we hadn't seen before.
Prish Image Resizer installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.
