SEP Named a 2013 Best Place to Work

February 26, 2013

Carmel, IN. – Software Engineering Professionals (SEP) is once again being recognized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce as one of Indiana’s Best Places to Work. The Carmel based company joins 100 Indiana companies named as honorees of the award.

The top companies in the state entered a two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics equal to 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

This is the eighth installment of the Best Places to Work in Indiana program. Specific rankings for the companies will be unveiled at a May 2 awards dinner at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. All ranked companies will be recognized via a special section of the Indiana Chamber’s bimonthly BizVoice® magazine and through profiles on Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick. This is the fourth year SEP has been a part of the awards, ranking 4th last year and placing 1st in 2010 in the Small to Medium category—the first year the company participated.

Due to overwhelming response, this year’s Best Place to Work in Indiana awards will expand to honor companies in four categories: small companies of between 15 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999 U.S. employees; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees are in Indiana.
