FSL(Freestyle Learning)与OpenUSS(Open University Support System)都是内容学习系统(LCS:Learning Content System)与学习管理系统(LMS:Learning Management System)的规范。这个项目提供用J2SE,J2ME和J2EE标准来实现这些规范。OpenUSS是一个ASP (Application Service Provider)运行模式的e-learning平台。
