Here's a little secret: due to the workload on both AoD and DS coding frontlines I drifted away from storytelling to purely technical side of game development... but sometimes, at nights, when nobody sees, I write my own story for AoD sequel/expansion. Who knows, maybe it'll see the light one day.
Btw, as a programmer, I can confirm that we have those AI roles you described, they're probably just not applied to these characters. We'll look into it.
