Description alsadi 2010-03-27 13:00:32 UTC
I manged to add an Arabic font, with this conf

        <font metrics-url="KacstBook.xml" kerning="yes" embed-url="file:///usr/share/fonts/kacst/KacstBook.ttf">
          <font-triplet name="KacstBook" style="normal" weight="normal"/>
        </font>

but letters in generated pdf files are not joined nor shaped and they are stacked from left to right.

when I tried using batik-rasterizer to raster text in same font into pdf it worked

Added complex script support (bidi, shaping, etc) at revision 1293736. Initial Arabic fonts supported are enumerated at https://skynav.trac.cvsdude.com/fop/wiki/SupportedFonts.
